5 Tips To Increase Adsense CTR (Click Through Rate) & CPC

the biggest mistake I see with human beings the use of Adsense as their monetization method, is that they neglect that Adsense is a CPC based network. You receives a commission consistent with click, now not by impression.

yet over and over once more I see people now not laying out their commercials on their web sites to maximize their profits capability.

forget site visitors for right now. I’m going to show you how you may close to double your profits from your existing traffic with some optimization tricks I’ve picked up over the years.

1. Adsense put the higher price ads first.
You’re allowed to use 3 ad blocks and 3 link units for each page of your site. While I don’t normally use link units at all, I do use 3 ad blocks no matter how short my content is. So, when people click to the first ad, you will earn more. Try to make your first ads looks more attractive and appealing. Less is better.

2. How do you view and read a site?
Do you always see the main title which is usually place at the top-left position then move your eyes to the center then to right side? Correct right? Reports show that people will look through a website from top-left, then center, then to the right. So, put your ads at a place which will caught the eyes of visitors to your site and earn more…

3. Put your ads beside a VIDEO on your site.
This can attract visitors to click it. This step can double the CTR of Adsense.

4. Try to get more traffic to your site.
Try Facebook.com, Twitter.com, Reddit.com, stumbleupon.com and Google+ etc. Get more readers/visitors and this will RAISE the possibility of clicks on your ads.

5. Climb higher in search engine position.
The best is to get to the TOP. This will ensure your blog to get a lot of attention and get more visitors. CTR will boost and of course, more $$$!

Create Blogger Sitemap & Add to Google Webmaster Tools 2017

if you’ve just started your blogger blog, you might not know how search engines work and how to display your website in the Google search results to drive traffic to your blog.
You can show your website in Google search for free if you can help Google to find your blog.

After creating your blog you must add it to Google search console (aka Webmasters tool) to index it properly and thus, to get a decent amount of organic traffic.

Google search console is a free tool that lets you add your blog to Google search pages and manage it from the dashboard directly. Also, to Add your blogger sitemap to google is really-really important as it will help your blog in regular indexing and proper crawling.

What is a Sitemap?

As the word sounds, a sitemap is actually a map of your website.

When Google crawlers go around the web indexing new web pages in its database, new blogs are usually missed out as only a few or no sites are linking to them as well as they’re not aware of sitemap thing.

A sitemap is either an XML or HTML file that contains all the URLs of the pages inside your blog.

While HTML sitemap helps your visitors to navigate through your blog, an XML sitemap helps the search engine crawlers the same way.

When you submit an XML sitemap to Google Webmasters, it helps search engine crawlers to find all the URLs on your website and add it to their database.

There are various parts of a sitemap that affect the crawling rate of your blog, such as the size of your sitemap, the number of URLs in your sitemap, indexing priority of pages on your blog, updating frequency, etc.

Now, that you know about sitemap and its importance, let’s move on to the further steps.

Create Blogger Sitemap To Google Webmaster Tools 2017

STEP 1 – THE NEW BLOGGER SITEMAP Updated 2017

Google now automatically create a sitemap for your Blogger blog in your root directory. This makes the process a whole lot easier, all you have to do now is submit your sitemap to Google and Bing Webmaster Tools. The sitemap is available at the following URLs.

Blogger – Default URL: http://blogname.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml

or

Blogger – Custom URL: http://www.blogname.com/sitemap.xml

This new default sitemap is automatically added to the default robots.txt file, so you don’t have to create a custom one. making the process a lot easier. The sitemap file also
contains links to pages: http://blogname.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml?page=1

OLD Version Blogger XML Sitemap URL

Creating a site map on Blogger isn’t as easy as on other platforms. They don’t have proper XML sitemap available and so we have to generate one using the RSS or Atom feed and add it ourselves. To do so we use a structure like the links below and add it to a custom robots.txt file.

We do so by using the following link and then creating a custom robots.txt file.

Blogger – Default URL

http://blogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
http://blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED

Blogger – Custom Domain on Blogger URL

http://blogname.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
http://blogname.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED

A single sitemap file should not exceed 50MB which is why we limit it to max results 500. You may need to edit this depending on how big your feed is. Now we’ve to tell search engines that this is your sitemap. To do this, we add it to your robots.txt file and submit it to Google and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Add Blogger Sitemap to robots.txt file
Go to Blogger > Dashboard > Settings > Search Preferences and click edit the custom robots.txt file. Click enable and paste the following adding your blogname.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /
Sitemap: http://blogname.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
Sitemap: http://blogname.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED
Sitemap: http://blogname.com/sitemap.xml

You can change the sitemap URL to whichever link above you prefer. The above code means that search engines can index your entire site (Allow: /) apart from your blogs search results (Disallow: /search) which is good because that would be considered duplicate pages.

Easiest way to Embed a PDF in your Blogger Post Tutorial

Easiest way to embed PDF documents in your Blogger posts with the help of Google Drive.

There may arise a need when you want to show a PDF document in your blog post. If you wondering if it’s possible some way, let me clear this doubt for you: yes it is.

In this very post, we are going to see the easiest possible way to Embed PDFs in our Blogger blog posts.

Easiest way to Embed a PDF in Blogger Post

In order to embed or show a PDF document in our post, we first have to host it somewhere. I’ve used Google Drive, which is undoubtedly the best place to host files on web.

1. To upload the file, head over to drive.google.com, click the upload button and select the file option as show in the screenshot below:

Google Drive File Upload

A window will popup to browse files. Select your file to start the file upload.

2. As the uploading completes, we have our PDF file hosted on Google drive. Next, we need to do a slight change in the file permissions of our PDF to obtain an embed code for it to use publicly. Right click on the file and choose Share from the popup menu.

Google Drive Share File

3. In the dialog so opened, move to the Advanced part of the Sharing settings.

4. Now, look for the Change… link in the Who has access section.

This will bring you to the file’s privacy settings.

5. We have to change the access of our file from private to public. Select “On – Public on the web” and click the save button.

6. Finally, grab the link of your PDF from the Share settings dialog.

7. Now, observe the following code:

 <iframe src=" https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2MISW7jvFMIc3RhcnRlcl9maWxl/view?usp=sharing "
width="600" height="300"></iframe>

Replace the highlighted area in the above code to your copied link. The final code will be the embed code for our PDF.

8. Now, in your Blogger dashboard, create a new post, set it to the HTML mode, and paste the final code into it.

That’s it! Publish/Preview the post to see the embedded PDF document in action. You may move the embed code in the post editor anywhere you wish to show the PDF.

Our embedded file will have some decent options like print, zoom, download, feedback etc. as demonstrated below:

Further, you may modify the width and height attributes in the embed code to align the embedded PDF according to your need.

How to Create Strong & Secure Password

It’s easy to be lazy and use the same password for every online account but, using these simple techniques, you’ll be able to remember strong passwords for different websites.

Not all passwords need to be secure, of course, but a password for any account that identifies you personally, such as your primary email account, an online bank account, or an account with any organisation that holds your credit card details, needs to be as secure as possible.

To understand how to create a secure password, you first need to know what makes a password insecure. By putting yourself in the shoes of a cracker, you will see how to thwart their dastardly plans.

How can you make your password strong enough to not get cracked by the bad guys? Here are some tips on password construction you can use to beef up your password.

How to create a strong password

It’s still important to have a strong password though. A good way of generating a password that is hard to guess but easy to remember is to devise a phrase that contains ordinary words, names of people or places (so they start with a capital letter) and numbers. Your password is then obtained by taking the first letter of each word except for the numbers which are represented by figures. So, if your phrase was “Bradford is thirty two miles from Manchester” the password would be Bi32mfM.

Similarly, you can create a password using a line from something easy to remember such as a song or nursery rhyme. It’s easy to remember the first letter from each word of “Jack and Jill went up the hill” and turns into this seven-character password: JaJwuth. Again, names make it easy to introduce upper-case characters.

You can also substitute characters for symbols, numbers or punctuation. Replace any letter ‘i’s with 1s and any ‘a’s with 4s and your password becomes much harder to crack. Christmas, then, becomes Chr1stm4s, which is a strong password.

    How to remember passwords :

Using a password manager such as KeyPass will help you to remember lots of strong passwords (making it more likely you will actually use one), but provides no protection from hackers if you continue to use passwords that those with criminal intent might be able to guess.

imageDo you use any of these bad passwords?

    • Password
    • 123456
    • qwerty
    • Your kid’s name
    • Always the same one

    imageWhy is that not good?

    • They are easy to guess or crack. Really easy.
    • If one site is compromised, a hacker has access to all your services.

    imageWhat’s the solution?

    1. Store your passwords and more in Identity Safe.
    2. Save Time. Access from anywhere. More secure passwords.

    Creating a strong password :

To keep your account safe, here are a few tips on how to create a strong password:

    1. Use a unique password for each of your important accounts : Use a different password for each of your important accounts, like your email and online banking accounts. Re-using passwords is risky. If someone figures out your password for one account, it’s possible they could get access to your personal information, or other online services like shopping or banking.

    2. Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols in your password : Using numbers, symbols and mix of upper and lower case letters in your password makes it harder for someone to guess your password. For example, an eight-character password with numbers, symbols and mixed-case letters is harder to guess because it has 30,000 times as many possible combinations than an eight-character password with only lower case letters.

    3. Don’t use personal information or common words as a password: Create a unique password that’s unrelated to your personal information and uses a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. For example, you can select a random word or phrase and insert letters and numbers into the beginning, middle, and end to make it extra difficult to guess (such as “sPo0kyh@ll0w3En”). Don’t use simple words or phrases like “password” or “letmein,” keyboard patterns such as “qwerty” or “qazwsx,” or sequential patterns such as “abcd1234” which make your password easier to guess.

    4. Make sure your backup password options are up-to-date and secure: Update your recovery email address regularly so that you can receive emails in case you need to reset your password. You can also add a phone number to receive password reset codes via text message.
Many websites will also give you the option of answering a security question if you forget your password. If you create your own question, try to come up with one that has an answer only you would know. The answer shouldn’t be something that someone can guess by scanning information you’ve posted on blogs or social networking sites.
If you are asked to choose a question from a list, like the city where you were born, try to find a way to make your answer unique by using some of the tips above. That way even if someone guesses the answer, they won’t know how to enter it correctly.

    5. Keep your passwords secure: Don’t leave notes with your passwords to various sites on your computer or desk, where people can easily steal them and use them to compromise your accounts. If you choose to save passwords in a file on your computer, create a name for the file that won’t give it away. If you have a difficult time remembering multiple passwords, use a trusted password manager. Be sure to spend a few minutes checking out reviews and reputations of password manager services.

The anatomy of an unbreakable password :

The longer the password, the harder it is to crack. Consider a 12-character password or longer.

Things to avoid: Names, places, dictionary words.

Mix it up. Use variations on capitalization, spelling, numbers, and punctuation.

These three rules make it exponentially harder for hackers to crack your password.

The idea for passphrases is captured quite nicely in this comic from xkcd:
